Default 02 Vert Rear window is separating

Yesterday I was washing my car and when I went to dry it off at the end I noticed that the rear glass windshield is separating from the fabric top. It looks like maybe the adhesive has dried up from the heat and age? The car is stored outside under a cover and driven on the weekends.

Any ideas or instructions on how to repair?

That thread contains a lot of good info on reattaching the window to the vert top.

Make sure you clean both the glass and fabric as an unbelievable amount of dirt accumulates...I used an automotive silicone and was as easy as falling off a log. You can get it in black too.

Wow- what a great write up. Thank you and I will be ordering the glue tonight. I looked up glass suction cups and it looks like auto zone has them singles for 9.99 each so I think I'll grab two.

Is this the only glue that works??

You're absolutely right. I just order the Rhino glue from the link along with the suction cups. Should be good to go by early next week.

Thanks guys

another vote for the Rhino product I used it a while back on my daughter's Sebring vert that had the rear window falling out. It sits outside and has held up.

I've been using it on all kinds of household repair projects ever since, much much better than super glue. You just have to be aware it takes overnight to really bond, not 15 seconds.
