Default Eckler's

I purchased a corvette cover for my car in June 2013 and the color was a magnetic red for a 2002 car. I contacted Eckler's in June 2015 about the cover was falling apart and letting debris filter through. After waiting a month for a response, customer service said their is only a warranty for one year and I would need to purchase a new one. Eckler's does not stand behind their products.

Beware before purchasing from this company!

So you've had the cover for two years, it had a one year warranty on it, and now you want them to replace it at no cost? I would agree that the cover should last longer than two years unless it was a really cheap cover to begin with, and perhaps they could do some good will coverage on a new one, but technically what they are saying is correct.

I've dealt with Ecklers many times over the years and not had any problems. But, every situation is different. Hope you can work something out with them.

99.9% of companies will not replace a product after the warranty has expired. That's the way it is. Not Ecklers fault.

They cant set a precedent. People will be asking for replacements 10 years after the warranty was up.

Two year old cover and a one year warranty - - - there's a forum member representing Ecklers . . perhaps you can work a little customer service discount with him but I've been buying from them for 30 years with few issues. I think your off base to expect them to replace it.

You signed up on here today to complain about a 2 year old car cover with a 1 year warranty...... And say,"beware before purchasing from this company". What did they do wrong? You know what the warranty is, and do you expect special treatment after bad mouthing them?

The OP can take it one further by contacting the manufacturer of the cover about the problem. Eckler's is just the distributor of the product.

I have bought many times from Ecklers and never had a problem and their products seem to be of high quality for the most part ! But no company I know of will replace something that's not covered by warranty ! plus like other members have mentioned, Ecklers did not make the cover they are just the distributor.

Hello,
If you'd like to PM your order number i'll take a look at it. Customer service is correct we only warranty for 1 year. A lot of times the manufacturer has a long warranty. But i'd be more than happy to take a look and sale you one at a discounted price. Just let me know. Thanks.

Looks like the vendor is willing to work something out...

My guess though is they won't hear from him, since it looks like he just signed up to bad mouth a vendor.

Not necessarily. Depends on which products you're ordering.

I've always had positive experiences ordering from them.
