I feel the need to go with the aa blower kit. They are local to me. I got a quote before. Averaging 9 to 10 thousand. I believe I have everything motor wise to handle it. Do I really need a 1000$ fuel pump? Or 1000$ injectors? I would post up the quote but I think it would be unfair. Whats the real cost of a complete aa blower without install? I understand about the tune and all. I have a shop doing it for me . I currently have about 417rwhp. What would a blower put out? I'm at lost right now. I could change out the top end but it would match the price of a blower. I don't track my z. But I like to whoop that a$$ on the freeway with these newer cars. Sorry about the long post. I know I have room for more. Lol
i am into my supercharger setup with me my self installing the kit 5,700.00 bucks then i had to get it tuned at a local shop, so over all with extra's i am at about 6,300 bucks or so

is there a certain power level you want to be at?... that will help in the parts selection... I was making low 700's with a 255 walbro pump, hotwire kit, 60lb injectors, and meth... take meth out of the equation and you could be in the low 600's to maybe 650 and the 255 pump and 60lb injectors are not expensive... that was also on a standard 6 rib belt... besides what the kit includes it would be wise to get a wideband and some gauges (a/f, fuel pressure, etc)... when you want to make even more power is when other things come into play like meth, secondary drive, 8/10 rib conversion, overdrive balancer, etc... good choice with a&a though

The numbers I wouldn't know. I would just like to have that power available. I did some pulls with a new stockish ss camaros/evos and I did pull away from them. But I had to down shift from 5th to 3rd at 60mph and from 5th to 4th at 80mph to pull away. I would just like to pull away knowing I could go faster without messing with the gears. All my parts are hardened from the diff to the motor so I know it won't break "I hope". But if I could do it with more power added I feel I wouldn't be looking to my right/left or rear view mirror so much. I just know I need more. Like I said. The numbers I wouldn't know. Maybe the tuner I went to didn't pull the numbers or tune my ride correctly. I don't know. The motor is beast. But for it to really get it going would be a blower or just upgrade the top end. Seems like the blower is just what I need. I'm not thinking about the turbo set up by the way. Sorry for the long post. I hope you fellas can help me out some more. I wont track it. Just highway a $$ whooping. TIA

sounds like me, I had about 420rwhp (longtubes/intake/small cam) and the car still felt slow to me... it was probably faster than I will give it credit for but I was still yawning nonetheless... if you feel the same way with yours I don't think doing heads will satisfy you for how much you will spend... but you should set some kind of goal to reach power wise with the supercharger then we would be able to give more advice or even give Andy/Josh a visit and get their opinions
I guess it boils down to how much work you want to put into it. You can def save a whole lot of cash piecing it together yourself, just make sure you do your homework and know exactly what you need. Most reputable shops will go over the good and bad of building your own kit. I purchased a used procharger and had it "overhauled" and after purchasing everything myself, was out about 4700 bucks even with a tune. It's nice to have the piece of mind with a purchased complete kit, but nothing wrong with saving a few bucks either. Anyway, Just my two pennies.
