Default BOSE Radio Lights

I just got my BOSE radio back from having LED replacement bulbs installed.

My question is: "Do your radio button lights come on with the door switch lights separately"? I also notice now that if I dim down all the interior lights (with the dimmer switch) that the BOSE radio lights stay on full-brightness. Is this normal behavior? I can't remember and since my radio lights were so dim before the LEDs I maybe just never noticed?

I am not surprised that the LED's are not changed by the dimmer switch on your new setup. Doesn't it take specifically designed LED's to be dimmable??? It does on the household LED replacement bulbs for the old incandescent bulbs
I just replaced ALL my interior bulbs with LEDs (DIC, HUD, Door Switches, AC Control Unit, TC Button, PRNDL selector, etc.), and they ALL dim with the dimmer switch except the Radio? I just can't remember if the BOSE radio never dimmed with the stock bulbs to where you could never totally darken the interior by turning it down.

Just wondering if maybe something was re-wired when I sent my radio off to get the LEDs installed or if it was always like that?

Perhaps someone with an 01 will post their results.....
Thanks - guess I need someone with a 2001 to confirm the behavior. I can't believe I have driven this car every day for 15 years and never noticed (but the radio has never been this bright before).

Hi Choreo, The wife and I have a 2001. The dimmer switch dims everything, the radio, hazard switch, traction control, and of course the dash and door switches.

This is a five year old thread and the bulletin posted above covers 2020 model year cars with navigation. I hope the OP has come to a satisfactory solution by now. .
