Default Spintech Mufflers

I heard a Corvette on the street last night and asked him what kind of exhaust system he had. He told me he had Spintech Mufflers but was in a hurry and couldn't stop for me to check them out. He said the car was stock and only the mufflers were replaced. I did a search and found a guy who sells them for $150 p/ muffler (for some reason the Corvette muffler will fit Mustangs as well). This is the info I got from the guys selling the mufflers " Hi, for the Corvette, you'll need the 333SCS which have the In and Out pipes at the same end, these go for $148.00 each" I'm assuming you have to cut each muffler and replace them with the Spintech? The mufflers are funky looking and square like a box, but they sure sounded nice. The price is right as well. Anyone in here running Spintech? or thoughts on the mufflers?

I used to run them on my camaro with true dials and sounded amazing

Anthough they "fit" our exhaust system , the hanger is what's going to fight you
anything is possible though

Just make sure the dimensions of the muffler fit; they can be in/out on the same size but the actual canister could be bigger than what will fit under the car.

I've run spintechs before and they do sound awesome. They will drone more than others but it's the trade off for that deep tone. I've never run them with cats though, that could help with the drone.

Either way....post up a video after you get them put on.

imlowr2; I had these mufflers (Spintech) installed about 10 years ago by a friends muffler shop and have been pretty happy with the results. I have been asked on several occasions as to whose catback system I was using and I respond with, ' Nobody's', I just changed out the stock mufflers and installed these Spintech mufflers'. After I bought them I went to Spintech directly and spoke with the owner about them and for some reason he kept making a reference about being developed for Nascar, whether that's true or not I don't know. They have held up very well and are of a heavy gauge metal construction. So anyway, they work well for a change in sound and is cost efficient. You will have to make a choice as to running only two tips or buy aftermarket single into two to keep the four tip look. Good luck in your search for sound !!
P.S. They cost a lot more now than 10 yrs. ago., but still reasonable !! As for the hangers, cut and use the old ones !!

Nice!!! I saw your gallery and noticed you went with the two tips (or pipes). It looks good, actually the whole car is pretty sweet and it's a great color. Nice ride! I'd like to keep the 4 tips if possible as they look good, but not keep the small originals tips (they don't cut it). The guy selling these mufflers is on ebay and located in the Van Nuys area which isn't far from me. I'll check around and see if I can get better prices. I think I'm going to go this route. Does your buddy still have a muffler shop ? Looks like he does clean work. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the great advice everyone.

Have never heard of those mufflers. Will have to check them out since all the comments have been positive.

imlowr2; Spintech is located in Riverside, Ca. and I am going over to talk with Ron this week about his mufflers and other options for Corvette owners, C5, C6, and C7. Hang loose on your interest and I will give you a update after meeting with him.
P.S. I agree with you about the factory tips, they are cheesy !!

Default Spintech Mufflers

I ran a Spintech muffler on my Tahoe years ago and loved the sound. They are priced right for sure. I'm sure they sound killer on a Vette. Post a video once you get them.

I would really appreciate that! The guy selling Spintech on ebay states he won't be back until the end of July anyways. No hurry! Thanks again for the help.
