Noticed yesterday that when I put my turn signal to the left my dash lights were going dim - when I put them to the right no issues. Did a visual from outside the car and it seems that when put to the left both the right and left FRONT lights are flashing (out of sequence with each other) whereas when its on the right - just the right flashes (and the left is steady/on). In both cases the rear lights are behaving.
I am running radioflyer hyperflash and it was working fine for a few weeks. He thinks it may be an issue with "multifunction switch." My plan is to dive back in and remove the hyperflash and see what happens. Anyone else seen this?
I would not think the Hyperflash would cause this. It just has one wire to feed the turn signal power to the MF switch. The MF switch would seem to be the likely culprit. The MF internal contacts and circuits to the front are different than the rear.
The MF feeds to the front signals are the Light Blue and Dark Blue ones as seen in this:
I have a good DIY at home for getting to the MF switch if you need it. Maybe you can open it up and see where the short is. I have some info on getting inside the MF switch also.

PS: I bet if you put on the flashers the front work fine. Leave the MF turn signal stalk in the OFF position for turn signals when you do this. The Hazard switch feeds the fronts "around" the MF switch in this mode. That can also be seen in the above schematic. Same color wires.
Latest on this problem. I removed the hyperflash and all lights behaving normally. I put the hyperflash back in - making sure to snug everything tight - and again all lights behaving properly - with headlights on and off. I pat myself on the back and duct-tape my busted dash panels back in place.
I then start the car and guess what - the lights start freaking out again. And it seems to be intermittent. For a while I'm stepping on the brakes and no dash dimming. Step them later - I get dash dimming and I can see in the car in front of me that my DRL's have cut out. Preoccupied with my flip-tie mod at the moment but will have to revisit this later....
