2002 Frankenstein Vette Z06 - Work in Progress !!!
I wanted to create a new thread to show off my 2002 Z as a work in progress.
The recently completed cosmetic work includes:
Corvette Creationz vented hood & rear fascia
Custom DRL/Blinker LEDs in front bumper (individual leds)
Red led lightbar mounted inside front quarter panel cove
Dual gauge pod mounted on A-piller with AFR and Boost
Mechanical work done:
Power steering rack
Power steering cooler
New COG pulleys for Vortech supercharger kit
Lingenfelter Oil Cooler Kit
Heavy Duty front endlinks
Wilwood drilled/slotted rotors front and rear
I will post some more pix once the car gets the remaining bodywork/adjustments done and after the Plasti Dip job is completed in a few weeks.
The plan is to dip the car a medium grey pearl metallic, then change the fender stripes to gloss black, and change the wheels to gloss black. The red pinstripe will remain around the fender stripes and will tie in to the brake calipers and to a future pinstripe that I will run along the bottom of the front lip and side of car.
What does everybody think, any other ideas?

I don't have the car right now (at paint guy's house) but when I get it back I'll get some close-up shots of the leds.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The brand is MoVit, a German aftermarket brake company. This is the largest kit that they sell for this car. It's pretty beastly (6 piston front, 4 rear, probably pretty equivalent performance to a ZR1 kit).
I actually just replaced the rotors will Wilwood rotors, because it would have cost more than $750 per rotor (without shipping) to get some actual MoVit replacements.
Overall, the fitment is OK, would be better to a stock car. The fiberglass doesn't give or flex like the stock one, so it's significantly harder to get a perfect fit (I've been told).
It doesn't need to be perfect for me, because so much else on the car is not, I have to keep everything in perspective and realize that I'm building a driver, not a show car.
The hood is another story, and it did not fit worth a damn. It needed cutting on the front, modifying the front bolt holes, and it still needs to be shifted from right to left to help clean up the gaps along the edges.

I've only put a few miles on the new tires, but I really like them so far. Have never driven in the rain with them though, so no feedback on that.
They look awesome too, which is always something that I try to weigh out, great tire tread pattern and great performance = good buy!
I figure, if I don't love the dip job, I can take it off in a year or two, or if I really like it, it should last 4-5 years since I don't put hardly any miles on this car. It will end up costing about 1/4 of a full new paint job.
