On the '00 coupe I had, I installed a B&B Route 66 catback and had terrible drone and popping. Installed a Bassani X-Pipe and I'd say better than 95% of those issues disappeared.

If you do not have an x-pipe get one. It will be much better. If you do have one you are screwed.

Your exhaust is the culprit.
I had the exact same one..it was a nightmare.
Now I have a Borla ATAK...ZERO drone...I also added a sound killer partition..
I have long tube LG super pros, 3" catless Xpipe...a decent sized cam...ZERO DRONE...
I am extremely satisfied.

Or If you like the sound, replace it with a newer set of stingers. The older ones droned but the newer ones have been redesigned. Corsa makes a v8 sound too much like a flat 6

I have a set of the 4 tip stingers and they drone but I don't think it's that bad. It only gets annoying on longer trips.

They make a dual in/out resonator x-pipe that is part of thief xr-1 kit.
I was thinking of adding to my stinger setup just to quiet things down after the headers.
I will let you know if I do it.

Tune: is the programmed variables in the computerized control module it can adjust timing, rpm shift points for the automatic transmission, fuel air mixtures, etc.
