So i've been searching for my C5Z ever since i had my supercharged 2012 mustang for sale. It took less than a month after i sold the mustang to find this beautiful car and pretty much exactly what i was looking for in a Z06. I bought it from a guy on the forum and so far i couldn't be happier and the car was as described and no surprises. I went to Jersey yesterday to pick her up and just wanted to share a few pics.
It's a 2002 with 15,6xx miles, it was orignal owner and very clean and well maintained. Long tubes, Cam, Fast intake and as you can see plenty of under hood dress up.
Enjoy the new ride. The mod red interior looks great. I am on my 3rd vette, 1st was a low miles 96 vert auto followed by a 00 vert 6 speed and now I have a low mile (19,000) one owner 04 Z06 that I bought in December at love it. Welcome to the madness that is CORVETTE.
Also in most cases buying from a forum member you get a very well cared for car as most of us are a little crazy about out babies.

Its tastefully done especially in the engine bay. A lot of times there will be overkill in the engine bay with polished parts or painted parts. Your Z has a great blend of the two.
I'm surprised the car still retains the factory airbox.

Yeah that surprised me also, all the work under the hood, carbon fiber air duct off the throttle body to a stock air box. An open filter is on the to do list, along with many other things lol
But it's a great starting point and in my opinion, tastefully done and a perfect mix of making it stand out but not overdone. I'll add a few of my personal touches to make it mine and enjoy it!

The car has long tubes and high flow cats, with stock ti catback and I haven't driven it too much yet but I'm pretty sure it's too quiet for me so corsa extreme is a high priority.
Some other things are window tints, Lowering on stock bolts, MGW shifter, the air filter like I mentioned, white led DRL's from radioflyer and the bi-xenon HID's to match, paint the lower rear fascia black, and if I decide to switch to black rims I'll get forgestar F14's and the blackout kit for all the lights. But I like the clean look of the polished wheels (I think they're polished and not chrome)
And eventually a blower or turbo, it's an awesome car and completely different animal but I miss the power of the mustang (650 to the wheels) so I will get bored fast of low 400's with the Z. But I want to learn the car and get used to it first before making a jump in power so mostly aesthetic's first. I'll try not to rush anything so I don't get bored
Good looking car, enjoy it. All of the other exhausts weigh a little more than the factory ti's, and really don't flow any better so you'll only be getting a louder car. If thats what you want
Don't cut the Ti's if you're going to replace them. Get it up high enough (about 32+") or get it on a lift. If you have the room, keep them, since you'll probably put them back on at some point, or sell them, to offset the corsa.
