I just bought my first Corvette and quite like it so far. Sadly, the option list in the glove box seems to have rubbed off over time, so I'm left in the dark about all of the options my car has. I know there are a few sites that can provide this information, but they seem to be either expensive or shady. Does anyone here have the capability to run this VIN in the GM system?
You should find the Vehicle Service Parts sticker (also called the RPO sticker in the glovebox. You can post the codes here and members can give the code meanings.
Any Chevy dealership can run a Vehicle Service History Report; just go the the service department and ask. The report will show the options on the car and also show any warranty or service work done to the car at a Chevy dealership.
Or go to the National Corvette Museum website and purchase both the build sheet and window sticker. The build sheet is what follows the car down the Bowling Green assembly line so the workers know what goes on the car. The window sticker will show any extra-cost options that were ordered wit the car and it will show prices to include the final MSRP of your car. It will also include the name of the ordering dealer.

Thanks for the info. The RPO sticker has been smeared and worn off, but I'll give a GM dealership a call or stop by this weekend.

I believe the only optional equipment available on a 99 was Twilight Sentinal, this feature turns on the headlights when the vehicle detects that it is in the dark. Another optional feature offered in 1999 is the Active Handling System (AHS) which monitors the car for slides and applies brakes on single wheels to keep the car straight. Competition mode is also included with the AHS option.
Only way to know what is on the vehicle in question is from the Build sheet or the GMVIS which is
hopefully still available for a vehicle that old. I read somewhere that GM was no longer making that information available for older cars. Not sure if that is true or not. OP will hopefully post back the results of his efforts to get the GMVIS info.
