left front on and pulled back ones and took back, put old worn out tires back on and guess what......some of the wiggle/mushy feeling gone on curves, any thoughts on this?
old tires...265/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear, bridgestone zri and firestone respectively, other than left front inner wear down to 2/32, others 4/52-6/32 but are 2008-2010 tires so time alone dictated I replace them. I am going to order 275/35/18 super sports for front and 295s for rear and await back order. car used in town 90% of time so old junk should be ok until new tires come in.
Continentals have SUPER soft sidewalls. They're built for comfort more than anything. They're a great tire if you're going to go long distances, they handle adverse weather very well, and they hold up fairly well in terms of longevity (mileage). However, they will not do well with any sort of turning. Guys at the local autocross have to pump their tires up to 45 psi just keep the sidewalls from rolling.
Only way I'd run them would be with a very short aspect ratio for the sidewall. It'd be about the only way to keep the flex under control.
Also, depending on what tire your replaced it with can make a huge difference. Hopefully you didn't put runflats on the car. Runflats always have crazy stiff sidewalls. This make the car feel very planted because it responds so quickly to inputs, but your total overall grip is massively reduced.
runflats no way, plan to put 275/35/18 michelin super sports on front and 295/35/18 on back whenever france gets around to producing some OR nitto invo in same size so I can drive on a trip in late august.... opinion on this??? thanks in advance.

You will love the Michelin PSS. I didn't consider the Invo because there was so many poor reviews. The Nitto NT-05 was a contender, but my friends with Vipers sold me trying Michelin.
