Default 2002 TPS Sensor Error!

I did a search and only found threads from 2006 and 2007. So I figured I would post a new thread. I also tried to take apart some old sensor with not much luck. The older ones would have been easier to take apart since the battery is on the side and not above the circuit board. I did successfully take a couple of them apart but do I trust them to work. Not really, I would rather have new ones, have them installed and the wheels balanced and be done with it. Much better than spending the money and having one fail a month down the road. Thats my .02

So I thought I should ask where is the best place to purchase new ones these days. There should be others here that should be having the same problem since the car is 13 years old now. Man, how time flies. It is still a great car and I still like it more than the new ones. Anyway I hope that someone can help me out here. Thanks in advance.

Not sure there's a better price out there than this:
Amazon.com: ACDelco 25773946 GM Original Equipment Tire Pressure Sensor with Valve Kit: Automotive Amazon.com: ACDelco 25773946 GM Original Equipment Tire Pressure Sensor with Valve Kit: Automotive

Thanks a lot for the info. Not many replies though. But it only takes one. Thanks again.

Yeah, I thought I saw them on Amazon for $32 last fall, but anything sub-$40 is very good.

Might want to make sure that TPS is the right one for your car. I plugged in my '03 (which should use the same sensor as your '02) and it said it would not work.

It's the correct one for '00-'04. Amazon's "does it fit" app says no for "hatchback" and yes for convertible, probably a glitch in their database.
Note that it also says yes for Z06...did the (non-runflat) Z06 even have the sensors installed from the factory?

It's starting to look like they got the entries for "Z06 2-door Coupe" and "Base 2-door Hatchback" reversed. Wonder how many other parts have this problem.
(And I guess technically they "fit" the '00-'04 Z06, since it uses the same receiver and wiring, but as I recall you'd have to get the BCM programmed to enable TPMS.)
