I own a 1999 C5 Corvette six speed few days ago one of the air pressure monitors in the right front wheel went bad but the display screen on the car kept saying the left front tire was low,I had a guy at the tire shop check it with a device he held against the tires that could read the wheel sensors and tell which one was bad, well it end up being the right front because the wheel sensors were switched when I had new wheels but on so this guy reset the sensors with the computer with this device. Everything was good so I left made another stop when I got back in the car to leave I could not get the key to turn the switch to start the car, I worked and worked, then I removed the Neg. battery cable for a few minis then hooked cable back up and the switch worked and I was able to start the car but the car would not stay running so I cut switch off and restarted car and it ran fine. I already had steering column bypass installed on car. Whats the problem ? Is the switch going bad or was it due to reprogramming wheel sensors ?
I run the vehicle codes from DIC and found a code 28 TCS C1255 H and a code BO RFA - 3codes. cleared them and car seems to be running fine. Any ideas what caused codes or not being able to turn ignition switch on in my earlier trend ? May be switch going bad or something else ?
