99 Vert - will not hold charge. I am thinking worst case = new compressor = about $1K installed. Would this be correct? Any less expensive causes I can hope for?
I have a '98 and it started blowing warmer air a couple years ago. Took it to a shop I trust and they put some leak detection in it. Found out the compressor is leaking a bit at the seams which is a common issue with them. I'm just recharging it until it won't hold for more then a year and then I'll replace it myself. Yours might be a fill port leaking as well. Could be something easier then the compressor.
