Default Picked up my first C5 today

Today I got my 2nd corvette; first one was a 1993 base auto; and I have to say the C4 and C5 are night and day. The c4 was fun but I prefer the more solid feel of the c5.
Anyway, its a 1999 6spd with 61,000 miles, the only mods it has is a CAI and borla exhaust. Inside and out the car is absolutely flawless. I got it at a hell of a price, $12,000. The only problem with it is what I believe to be the roller rockers tapping the valve covers but I could be way off. If anyone knows anything about this please reply here or message me.
Here she is in all her glory.

Very NICE! I still miss my C5. One day I will own a C5 again.

Yours look like it has the C6 wheels. Very cool. Can you post more pictures with a side view so I can get a better view?

Does it have aftermarket rockers? Unless they are some insane size there shouldn't be a significant tap. Now C5's do have some valve train noise and it's one of the reasons the C5's come with fuel rail covers. Are your FRC still there?

Looks like it's in great shape. Welcome to the C5 family.

Yeah, everything in the engine is stock and the FRC's are still there. I guess it could just be inherent with the C5 as you mentioned.

Nice car. I agree that's a hell of a price for one with low miles. You did well.

In a recent thread a poster said they sold a perfectly good torch red '99 M6 with ~40k miles to their mechanic for 10 grand.

I couldn't find any deals like that. All of the nice low mileage manual transmission cars for sale around here were asking mid-high teens.

As to your "ticking" sound, the fuel injectors make a normal clicking sound during operation that you may be mistaking for valve train noise.

Just a thought.
