Today I got my 2nd corvette; first one was a 1993 base auto; and I have to say the C4 and C5 are night and day. The c4 was fun but I prefer the more solid feel of the c5.
Anyway, its a 1999 6spd with 61,000 miles, the only mods it has is a CAI and borla exhaust. Inside and out the car is absolutely flawless. I got it at a hell of a price, $12,000. The only problem with it is what I believe to be the roller rockers tapping the valve covers but I could be way off. If anyone knows anything about this please reply here or message me.
Here she is in all her glory.
Does it have aftermarket rockers? Unless they are some insane size there shouldn't be a significant tap. Now C5's do have some valve train noise and it's one of the reasons the C5's come with fuel rail covers. Are your FRC still there?
Looks like it's in great shape. Welcome to the C5 family.

Yeah, everything in the engine is stock and the FRC's are still there. I guess it could just be inherent with the C5 as you mentioned.
