tire question
I would like your opinion on the tires on my vette. Its a 2002 z06 with stock wheels. It has Nitto nt555a's. Front says p274/40zr17 ntssr II ExtremeR. Rear is 305/35zr18 ntssrII. The traction seems really great,the tires were changed this year due to dry rot on original tires per orig owner [car has 11000 miles]. I only use the car for weekend cruising and fun rides. The ride seems firm but very good. Are the tires correct size for stock wheels? Thanks for your expert advice!

As 8Vette7 stated, OEM sizes for the Z06 were 265/40-17 front and 295/35-18 rear. The sizes that you have on your car (I'm assuming you made a typo as to your front tire size being a "274" and meant to say 275) will nonetheless work just fine on your OEM wheels. In your case, the ride quality that you are experiencing is more a function of the tire's design and construction than their size.
