Gauge surrounds

Looking to buy a set I noticed they come in plastic and medal. Anyone have experience with either and offer any pros and cons on each?

I got a $30 plastic set off ebay and appoxied them on, the only issue is the cheap plastic ones are just a little short from fully covering up the edges on the small half cut rings but it's barely noticable at all.

I got the metal ones for $45 at a sponsor and I think I like them more than I would the plastic. They have a nice sheen to them.

I think NAT has the best price on the real metal ones.

I put the metal ones on my car many years ago when they first came out. They have a slightly purple look at night from the black light bulbs that illuminate the gauges. I have never had a problem with them, they add a real finished look to the instrument cluster. Go to the vetteessentials website to find the best procedure for removing the cluster. Take your time!
