Default Finally took delivery

After purchasing the car last week, I finally was able to take delivery once a few cosmetic issues were addressed. For a 12 year old car it looks absolutely fantastic - better than I expected.

This may be my 25th Corvette, but it's already one of my favorites. It's now in the garage where my Challenger used to sit. It's amazing how more room I have in there now. The Challenger was huge.

I know posts are useless without pictures so I'm including a few.

Beautiful car. I wanted an AE, but it was not in my budget. Have fun with it. Tell us more about it.

Congrats on an awesome-looking C5!

Just curious, since I'm looking for a C5 myself, what kinds of cosmetic issues did you have to get fixed and, if I may ask, what did it cost to fix them?

Most of the cars I've looked at have some degree of stone chips/scratches -- some worse than others -- and I have no idea the cost to repair them. Thanks.

I bought the car from Corvette World Houston (formerly Corvettes of Houston). Part of the deal was that several issues would be corrected. These included new tires, wheel alignment, refinishing of the wheels that were scratched and a long deep gouge in the driver's side rocker panel. I wish I could tell you what it cost to repair but I don't know as it was just included in the deal. I do know that the wheels now look great and the rocker panel scratch was corrected by the best Corvette paint shop in town.

This car only had 19,XXX miles on it and there were just a couple of very small scratches on the front of the car. Nothing that I thought needed immediate attention.

BTW, Corvette World Houston has changed management and brought back the original Corvettes of Houston management team. This made all the difference in me buying my car there. The last management team were not Corvette enthusiasts, just car salesmen, that were very difficult to work with. This transaction exceeded all my expectations.
