Ran across an ad here in Seattle for a 2004 Corvette LS1. I know I've got a lot to learn, but was there such thing as an LS1 package in 2004? If so, what distinguishes it from other C5s?
LS1 refers to the motor. All C5s, except the Z06, have an LS1 motor. The Z06 has an LS6.
EDIT: Feel free to ask more questions, that's how this forum can help.

That's what I thought but I'd never seen one described this way. Looks like the console has a lid with something to do with LS1. Here's a photo but it's so fuzzy I can't tell what's printed on that lid.

And the last sentence is especially true - lots of great info here and members willing to help you out.

You folks have an amazing amount of knowledge and advice. One more reason I'm eager to jump into Corvette ownership. I've run into some very nice, welcoming people at a couple of Corvette shows I've attended this summer, and I can't thank everyone on this forum enough for taking the time to teach me about these cars.
Only dumb question is the one you do not ask and do not know the answer to...
Welcome to the forum. Lots of knowledgeable people here who can answer most any question you can ask about Corvettes (and cars in general).
P.S. Just so no one points it out, rhetorical questions are welcome as well!
Sales people who prey on the uniformed, are as bad as the politicians in Washington!
Yep. I'm beginning to think that the only solution is to stand them all up and shoot them!!!!!!! Somehow they totally missed the "to be of service" part of the job description.

Of course that's probably not entirely accurate, as they are being of service to the lobbyists, special interests, other crooked politicians that share their point of view, as well as (of course) themselves in order to rake in all of those kick-back funds!!!!
Sorry to hi-jack the thread......just got a fire lit under me.......sorry!
There were 1SC and 1SB packages in 04, the 1SC being the Commemorative Edition, blue with shale interior, but like the others said, LS1 was just the engine designation.
If the ad read as you stated "04 Corvette LS1", then it was accurate, no deception there. If it read "with optional LS1 package", then it was not correct.
