Default Brakes Help!!

Yesterday I installed my new DBA T2 rotors and Hawk Ceramic pads, cleaned the rotors with brake clean etc. This morning I got up early and went to go bed them in. Drove back home and noticed they just didn't look right to me. Looks like only part of the pad it touching the rotor and the part it is touching looks a little scared. Does this normal or not. Car seems to stop just fine but just looks weird.

Also read on DBA website it takes 300km or 200 miles for the rotors to "break in" if that makes a difference.

Looks like they got heat and some transfer, just not a lot. what procedure did you use to bed them in?

I usually do this

I did the bed in from Hawks website, 6-7 40mph medium stops without coming to a complete stop and 4-6 65mph medium-hard stops without coming to a complete stop. The old pads where the original pads with 70k miles and yes the we worn. The pic I posted has less than 20 miles on it. Thanks for the help.

They were worn, but was the face of the friction material tapered or were they worn parallel to the backing surface of the pad?

Post a pic of the inside of the rotor. Something is not right. Check the pad wear pattern while you are in there.

Don't really remember, I think they were parallel to the backing surface

I'll check again tomorrow sometime, like I said there is only about 10 miles on the new rotors and pads. Thank you all for the help
