Race Ramps are excellent, but rather expensive. I use Rhino Ramps and they work for me.

I used the regular ramps from Wally World at stock height and they clear. Any lower though and it won't.

if you want to use the right tool for the job, spend the money for race ramps. Or like many others, just get by with whatever else kind of works, and struggle a little more. Good tools are priceless sometimes.

You can look up the info on the race ramps here in the forum. They look very nice but like the others have said they are pricey.

Race Ramps may be pricey, BUT, they hold their value very well. So the total cost of ownership is not that bad. The resale value of superstore auto ramps or homemade wooden ramps is close to zero. Used Race Ramps will typically sell for 50% to 75% of MSRP.

Here's a recent example:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ace-ramps.html

I sell new RLL-72-2 ramps for $306 when purchased with the "SAVE10" coupon code.

If you really want a low cost of ownership, buy used Race Ramps. When you go to sell them, chances are you will recoup your entire purchase price.

race ramps are nice, but where do you store them when your not using them? I'm using the ramps from Harbor Freight. The plastic ones are a bit flimsy and feel insecure driving up them. The metal ones work if your car is stock height. Mines lowered so I use a 2X6 board and then use a floor jack. If I had the room, I'd install a hydraulic lift.

Those are definitely nice for DYI, make sure you drive up the ramp perfectly straight with all four tires!

I have no room for race ramps. I would have bought if I did though. I got by using pep boys steel ramps. I jack the car way up until I can put the ramps under the tires & drop the car down on them. Forget about trying to drive up on them. The only issue is wide tires don't fit well in these ramps. The front ones (275/40-17's) can safely sit on them with a little overhang but the rears not (295/35-18's) Hell if I could get a set of used race ramps for under $300-- go for it!

The platforms have straps so they are easy to hang on the wall. I store the inclines just below the garage door. This is pretty much a wasted space. The incline sections are light enough to lift overhead onto some Gladiator tote box brackets.
