Well, to be honest, I am doing some stereo work, a C6 shifter, a dabbling of sound deadener, and a top coat of heat insulation.
Oddly enough, after I got the carpet out, there was $1.50 worth of change and a pile of un-popped pop corn on the passenger side and zero signs or rodents........ go figure.
I do appreciate the links on the speaker removal, but what I really needed was confirmation that the panel that is blocking the forward part of the rear tubs is held on by gorilla strength clips. I'll put more muscle into it later this evening after work.
Thanks for the replies, I promise to post some pics up of the insulation project as I get to it.
Any chance anyone has a picture of the back side of the panel? Knowing what direction the clips go helps me not feel like I am breaking things.
Here's a link to an ebay auction for a speaker cover/trime. If you look at the fourth picture, which is the back of it, you'll see the locations for the clips.
Here's another quick tip; I usually support the hatch with my back while I detach the gas strut. I then slip the cover over the strut, and clip it back in. It's easier with an extra hand, or if you can find something to support the hatch with.
Thanks for all the help. I finally got her all apart last night and finished cleaning. Too bad about the halo panel. By the time I cracked it, it was too late. I guess I'm on the search for an crack free one.

Don't feel too bad. Those panels are ridiculously thin.
Epoxy on the back will take care of the crank spreading, and you can cover the front easily with alcantara/suede/leather.
