Better brand than what? This is one of those debatable questions, like which is the best oil to use. If you want today play it safe, visit your local Chevy dealer and tell them your year vette and they'll sell you some AC Delco diff lube.
I went with Amsoil when I changed my diff fluid. It already contains the additive mixed in so I didnt add any. Once I was done i went to an empty parking lot, did some figure 8's, and all is good. I wasnt having any problems before I only changed the fluid so I know it has been done. But its the same as oil, you can get good results with different brands.
I used the AC Delco LS gear oil. Immediately did some tight figure 8's in a parking lot and tried to not go wide open throttle for 300 miles. (something about the additives needing to break in)

I do a complete fluid change on all of the family cars, every 3-4 years, depending on how much they've been driven. With my Corvette, it got Red Line fluids on the first change, and every one since then. But everyone has their favorites.
