Headlight pop up issue

I know the gears are a well known issue for C 5's. My left headlight doesn't fully pop up, seems to have about 1 inch of play when its up compared to the passenger side when I push down on it. Motor is quiet, retracts fine. Does this sound like a bad gear?

Sounds like gear time and I would also replace the 4 little plastic bumpers while in there.

Thanks, my thought also. I've watched the You Tubes on this procedure, looks very doable for me. ever seen the bumpers sold with the gear replacement kits. Idea where I can get them?

Rodney Dickman has excellent quality replacement gear kits, which also come with a modified braceplate. He also sells the white plastic bumper kits.
