Default Window Regulator

Can anyone give me some advise on my C5 drivers window no working. The passenger switch works and I don't believe it is the motor. The reason being my alarm has an option to raise and lower the windows and I used this option to lower both windows. However, when I use the same method to raise only the passenger window raises. When I push the switch I can hear a clicking noise. I appreciate any direction from anyone. Also, is removing the control panel a major headache. Cheers.

Can anyone tell me if the vehicle has been converted to right hand drive whether a replacement RH regulator needs any different conversion or will it just be bolted on. Cheers

Mine has had the exact same behavior on both windows...new regulator/motor time. Not a big deal to replace.

If you hear a clicking noise, 98% of the time you need a new motor/regulator.

An excellent "how-to" video, and also excellent source for a replacement window regulator.

In the meantime, you may be able to operate your window by turning on the ignition, hold the door window switch down, and bang quite hard on the door armrest. Several hard blows may be necessary, but the window will often magically work again, and continue to do so for several weeks/months.

Cheers. I will try tonight. The window is down now so will hold button up to hopefully get it to close. Thanks again.

Default Make Sure to Match Mark All of the Interfaces

One note - when replacing the regulator, be careful to match mark all of the parts connections to minimize any problems when it goes back together. This includes the location of the window clamps and the relative locations of the adjusting screws. Others have had significant problems (scraping tinting) if not done. Good luck.

Hey mate
Just tried your suggestion on banging the arm rest and it worked. Yeh ha.... Thanks it helps me until my new regulator/motor arrives.

Fantastic! I'm glad that worked for you, and it may continue to work just fine for several weeks, months, or longer.
