Default Déjà vu all over again?

This is the daily fact on my Corvette calendar today. Seems like a recurring theme with Corvette development when it comes to the rear end design, no? At least they overcame this challenge on the C5.

Have you decided which wide fenders you will go with? Your liner extensions should be there today or tomorrow.

It will vey likely be the TPE's. The only reason I bought the CC's and L5's was to see which of the existing (at the time) quarters I'd find acceptable. TPE's weren't available when I bought the others so I decided to mount one of each to see which suited me better. Funny thing is, the wife likes the L5's by a wide margin so far.

I have the L5's on mine. I like the look of the L5 quarters on the coupe. My friend has a 01 convertible wth TPE's. I like the look of the TPE quarters on the verts and Z06 body. It took me a while to choose the brand I wanted looking over different photos of wide fender C5's.

Sure glad that back end didn't make the cut on the C5.

Default Unbelievable

I've got the same calendar and couldn't believe how bad the reared looked on the C5 model.

That could be in the "what we're thinking fame!

Still not enthralled with the rear of the C7 but what they did with the rest of the car is spectacular. IMO part of the corvette legacy was lost when they did that to the C7.

That being said, I will own a C7 someday! Or should I wait for the C8?
