Inspecting Z06?
Hi guys, I am looking for c5 z06, checked some cars with 50-65k milage, all owners say it's in perfect condition.
Could you please point me what i need to check firstly, what weak parts Z06 has, its flaws? what would you say about stock clutch, is it long term part or not?

if it's from a rust state check the entire body, look at bushing condition, check manifold vacuum. the clutch fluid also tends to get grimey.
put the car in the air and check for oil leaks, shake the wheel bearings. test the coolant and brake fluid and drive the car

Definitely check to see if the valve springs have been checked. There's a stickied thread analyzing vin numbers vs failures. Apart from that, check it out like any other normal car. I always check for signs of the car not just being mechanically sound, but also well taken care of. If the owner does the little things like cleaning small hard to reach areas, it's usually a good indicator.

unless someone is aware of this forum most dealers and non specialty shops have no idea about the issue.
