I have a 2003 vert, the drivers seatbelt keeps snugging up during a normal (vs. spirited) drive. Is there anyway to solve this issue before having it visit a dealership? Thanks, Rob
When you get in, are you pulling the seat belt all the way out to make it easier to buckle? If you are, you are engaging the lock mechanism which will lock the belt at whatever position it retracts to. The belt then has to fully retract to reset the lock. Some cars are more sensitive than others.
This is a feature for locking the seat belt for child seats and if you want the seatbelt snug for spirited driving.
I had a similar issue with the passenger seat when my friend who is ‘robust’ rides with me. My solution was to install a seat belt extension. Problem solved.

Might want to pay attention to what you do when you buckle up and see if this is happening.
