Wheel calc says it will be close does anyone run an offset like this?

They will work. But they will stick out pretty far, especially if you are running 325/345 size tire which is recommended on a 12 inch wide wheel

Say goodbye to your brake cooling ducts as well.


Below is how much a OEM c6 z06 wheel sticks out and they are 12inches wide at 59 offset which poke an extra 18mm. The wheels you posted will poke an extra 25mm. WAY to far IMO.

 

305s would be needed out back. Not sure up front as it'll be close, maybe a 235 or something.

I run 245s up front and 305s out back on my C6Z offsets and it works fine.

 

This picture shows why a slight stretch is required to pull off this look. With wide tires, it just looks like a 1980s setup.

Brake ducts will be fine. You are moving the wheel and tire package towards the outside of the fender. If you were going wider and keeping them inside the fender then the ducts would be a problem.

 

Correct, I was thinking about the OEM c6 z06 wheels. I ran them on my old C5 Z06 with 325's and had to remove the ducts.

 

it'll look just like having c6 z06 wheels on the car.

C6 z06 wheels are 9.5 wide with 40mm front and rear are 12 wide with 59mm. I use a 4mm spacer to keep from rubbing inside. That puts me at 55mm.

They would have worked with a c5 with L5 wide fenders. Anyone in orlando looking for a small project and a steal on some sick HRE wheels keep an eye in here.

 

I have stock fenders. My point was it would look pratically just like my car.

 

I dont think the guy has the correct offsets in the rear. They stuck way out 2.5 inches or so, looked like a dump truck, the fronts were good but wouldn't clear C6 z06 brakes. For a C5 with wide fenders they would have been a great fit. Great fit....here is the craigslist link if anyone wants to give it a shot.

He had the bore machined to Corvette/ BMW diameter. The rears would require a little deeper bore which he said he would have done or like 2.5mm to 5mm spacer for the added room needed to sit on the hub 100%

I think its a good deal on the wheels after a little cleaning and some sanding they would be 95% if i had wide fenders I would have got them no doubt.

Just a project im not ready for as I found out my MT ET streets are toast after bad camber wear to the threads on the left side.
