Default Electronic box in trunk

Hello all,

Just bought my first Corvette, a 1999 C5 Coupe. M6, Pewter, new chrome wheels, but otherwise near stock. Having some fun while summer is still here.

A small question from the evenings antics. I'm removing all the carpets to fit sound deadening. On removal I noticed a strange electronic enclosure in the left hand 'cubby' in the trunk with some meaty looking cables plugged into it. There's no identification of clue as to what it is, sooo, what is it? Got me curious...

Thanks
Andy

If you have that car age and probably higher mileage they may need replacing. They are REALLY expensive and most people do not think they are worth trying to replace.

If you decide to get new shocks create a new Thread and we can fill you in on great low price performance alternatives and how to avoid trouble messages on the DIC if you choose a different style from OEM F45.
