Default For what it is worth.......

So the headlight “issue” is always a topic of varied opinions and alternative resolutions. My own opinion is that the stock headlights were adequate in that they met the regulation requirements and were what was used by the industry in the majority of vehicles at the time. It is now some years later and technology has changed and comparisons are made to current technology and found wanting. I drove for several years with my stock head lights without issue but decided to upgrade only because of the stark difference I would experience between my stock lights and any newer car I would happen to be driving. Mostly because I travel extensively for work and am always in a rental each week for several days. So I went through the updated standard bulbs (SilverStars) then the modified HIR’s, then HID’s in stock housings, then ACA projectors with HID low beams and HIR high beams. Finally I settled on a set of modified ACA’s from Radio Flyer (not the Bi-Xeon) with the adjustment realigned so my high beams are correctly aligned, with halo, HID low beams and HIR high beams. I also replaced the bulbs in my fog lamps with HID bulbs since they are projector lenses as they came from the factory. I use the H-4 harness when required and I am totally satisfied and can now comfortably make comparison to most new and high end vehicles I drive without wanting anything more from my present setup. It does not blind oncoming traffic and I don’t use the HI-4 unless on desolate roads and always shut down the highs way before any oncoming traffic is close enough to be affected. I doubt the dealership will provide the OP with any resolution and he will have to decide if he wants to invest in any of the aftermarket solutions.
