I just bought new aftermarket rims for my 2003 and had them put on today. My questions is will I need to have the tpms reset or is it good to go on the new rims. Thanks ..... Also the rims are chrome should i use a chrome polish or just soap and water to keep them looking good Thanks Again
If the TPM's were installed into the rims that will go back on the same corners then the answer is no. They will not have to be reprogrammed. If, on the other hand the installer just took out the TPM's, lumped them into a pile and then put then in as he went along then yes, they will have to be reprogrammed.

My questions is will I need to have the tpms reset or is it good to go on the new rims. YES you'll probably have to reset them...
Thanks ..... Also the rims are chrome should i use a chrome polish or just soap and water to keep them looking good BOTH

As long as they were put on the position they came off of, no need to reset. As for the chrome, No chrome polish needed on new wheels. I don't use anything on the wheels that i would not use on the car finish. These wheels have been on my car for 7 years and still in great shape. I use the same polish that i do on the car.
They are called wheels not rims. If you didn't install new TPM sensors you probably will be soon if they were originals or replaced a long time ago. Battery life has it's limits.

And I use a good wax on them (like you would use on the paint) to help protect them. Then a good cleaning with soap and water keeps them looking good.

Thanks Again. They look great now and would like to keep them that way.
Before I installed my new round items that the tires mount on I shot the barrels with 3 coats of clear to hopefully help protect them for yrs to come. Like others I use wax or quick detailer just like on the paint of the car.
Asking for 7 or 8" rims could get you wheels for a lawn mower.
I bought these from Bob at House Of Wheels, I told him what size rims / wheels I wanted and they fit perfect . Anyway whatever I was to call them I am Happy with them. Hope I dont upset someone else by calling them the wrong name.
