Default Wax doesn't matter

Don't think the brand of wax matters a lot. The car has been well cared for and it shows. There are many good waxes out there but none will make a dull, scratched finish look like that. A good random, orbital polisher can do wonders for almost any finish, so get one and make your car shine! Porter-Cable makes one that's affordable for most and works great. The link below will give you a broad selection.

Wax is a protector for the polished surface which is the key for the shine. After I polish, to the shine that I want, I use a sealant called "Midnight Express' by hitemp. www.hitempi nc.com Rather pricey but it goes a long way.Just follow directions. If need be, check out "Junk man 2000" on youtube. His process and materials made my 98 really come to life. Good luck.

When I replied to norcalace's post I was doing the same as was tbrowne's post. I truly believe that both of us were passing along advice to a fellow vette owner. My personal opinion of macleod52's reply was totally uncalled for, rude, uneducated and very narrow minded. I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed dim wit.
To norcalace, I would suggest that you research and drill down for info. until you are comfortable with what you find . Once "Good Luck"!

Looks like mine. I've used Chadwicks for this picture. Also have used Zaino and Mags. It's all in technique and hard work - not product. Last week at Carlisle had several guys stop by - at that time I used Chadwicks with Zaino detail spray.

Really hard to say without talking to the owner. Adam's Polishes, Zaino, Chadwicks, Meguires - all will give a really brilliant shine if applied properly.

I'll admit, it does look good.

It wasn't meant to be rude at all. It is impossible to tell what product was used just by looking at the car, let alone a picture. The only way you are going to know what was used is if the owner chimes in or someone who knows the owner does. Beyond that it is a guessing game and you'll have a hundred different answers. If the OP wanted to know how to achieve a shine like that then I would have chimed in with an appropriate response, but the OP did not ask that. The OP asked specifically what product was used which is anyones guess.

Looks like it was done by a left handed man, who had a limp.... he used cotton t shirts, not cotton towels, or micro fiber towels,, he also had a beer and a hamburger, maybe a cheese burger. I can not tell by this photo, but if you have more photos ( different angles ) I could tell... he also had onions on the burger. He also used a synthetic polymer based product, and not a vegetable based product..

I use Zaino and Chadwicks. Zaino's All in One is a great product, especially for daily driven cars it provides excellent protection. I apply Zaino to the car 2-3 times a year and use Chadwicks regularly.

The prior comment was right, it's not the wax, it's the paint. The wax won't make up for bad paint and perfect paint looks great with no wax. Wax and sealant are really for protection but they can spruce up tired paint but only to a point. Any time you see a car tha really pops you can rest assured that the paint under that wax is in top condition.
