Default Traction control

My message center says service traction control just about every other time I drive my 04 and then it will go off. Can someone tell me if that is a sensor or something I can fix? I don't have a code for it.

Thanks,
Mike

You need to check codes from the DIC before you shut the car off. Bet you have codes! What are you reading codes with?

Ok, can you tell me how to do that again on my dash? I can't remember. I will check it and post them.

CLEAR the codes the next time you go somewhere... then, RETRIEVE the codes BEFORE you shut the car off!
Otherwise they become H codes or History codes...
write down the C codes Current codes and post them

Before you take off the ebcm and send it out, pull your codes and post them. My 04 did the same thing and it ended up being the SWPS that was going out. Took awhile for the codes to show up but when they did they are C1287 and/or C1288. Only costs about $65 and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to replace.

I will clean it tonight and put some dielectric grease all over it. I will start looking at all the grounds also. You guys are the best and I will keep you posted on what comes out of this.
