I've been looking for a 6 speed c5 lately, my price range is around 12k. I wasn't really looking at Z's cause i didn't think I could afford one. I've been talking to this guy for some time now and he said he'd do 13k if im serious. Is that a pretty good deal for this car? It seems like it would be worth 16-17k. Let me know what you guys think. http://greenbay.craigslist.org/cto/5171611567.html
If everything checks out, it would be a great deal. Definitely doesn't sound like a scam since the guy mentioned about test driving it prior to purchase.

No mention of the valve springs being replaced. I know it has 111k miles, but springs could still be an issue.
It looks good to me! The guy comes across legit in my mind, he probably just wants to get it sold in a reasonable amount of time.
I wouldn't worry about the springs since the car is at 111 thousand miles, they would have broke by now. It never hurts to replace 'em though, if you did get the car.
Let us know how it goes!
dont let the 111k scare you these ls engine will run up to 200k with proper maintenance, my 03z had 105k and ran STRONG!
put it on a rack and check for leaks engine, trans & diff pay attention to the trans fixing syncros gets up there in cost to fix, check the DIC for codes
KBB yields $12-13 between good to excellent condition. It does have some extra good mods and a new clutch so that might up the value a tad. For $13k I'd say you have a decent deal there (without seeing it closer and driving it). I always do a KBB check to make sure I can sell it without taking a bath if I don't like it. I love my 04 Zo6. Not selling it anytime soon. Waaay too much fun. My 04 with 66k miles was about $21k KBB private party excellent condish and I paid $21.5k cause it was super clean and, well, I liked it. I'm pretty sure you're going to like that Z. If you drive it, it'll be a done deal so be prepared.
