I used to run a Walbro 255lph pump in a crazy Trans Am I had built years ago. At that time, I loved the noise as I turned the key and both the Meziere and the Walbro would kick in.
Now I am considering upgrading the factory pump(s) in light of an upcoming supercharger install and I am wondering.... can I get increased flow without making the fuel pumps audibly louder?
It's kind of a lame question, but there it is. All I want to hear on my car is the blower whine and the exhaust. Not a high pitch hum behind my ears.

how much power are you planning on making and what kind of setup would you prefer to do?... I previosuly made a little over 700 with a walbro 255 pump in the tank, hotwire harness, kenne bell boost a pump, dual nozzle alky kit, and 60lb injectors... that is about the limit of the stock system and any more than that you should look into a bigger fuel setup... it also depends on your exhaust because I now have an a1000 run off a 5psi hobbs switch and I can't even hear that turn on and it's one loud @$$ pump
What I have waiting to go is a complete A&A P1sc kit with the KB BAP kit downstairs. It may be redundant with the BAP, but I also have a hotwire harness. I believe my pulleys will make either 8 or 10psi give or take. Engine is internally stock, but FAST 92 will be on top with LS2 tb, and then full headers and exhaust on the exit end. The car isn't too loud overall. But I consider "loud" to be that old TA I had:

I'd say you should be in the 550 ballpark with longtubes and 8-10psi on an otherwise stock motor... I would go ahead and swap in a walbro 255 since a fuel pump swap is a piece of cake on a 99 and with a boost a pump/hotwire harness and proper injectors you should be fine at that power level
