Stu, you and I have been "trading parts" for a while. 😆 It's always a pleasure doing business with you. I'm sure you'll enjoy the MGW. Let me know if you have any questions, although, I know you're an old pro at this.

From the comments I've read on the forum about the MGW shifter, you will really like it in your car. Good luck with the install.

You won't believe how different it feels. It is a great upgrade and much more precise.

You may find it a little stiffer and/or "notchy" feeling. That can be improved with the anti-venom mod. (Simply a washer or two on a detent screw at the transmission that takes maybe 10 minutes to do.) I used one washer and it made a world of difference. My MGW is still precise, but much smoother and easier shifting.

Good luck with the install, and do it quickly so you can start enjoying it.

Agree at first it may feel stiff but after 500 or so miles it either loosened up enough or I just got used to it. Combining anti-venom mod and adding Amsoil Torque Drive fluid to the trans now it shifts precise like butter.

MGW is installed finally and....

WOW! WHAT A SHIFT!

I took it out for a test run and I am very impressed.

The height of the T-shifter is perfect and every shift is shorter, cleaner, and very precise. Overall, it is a satisfying and comfortable shift.

The MGW shifter is definitely the best I have ever had.

Thanks again PATCHES for the shifter.
...already looking forward to upgrading when you get tired of your new MGW shifter!

For now my "Maggie" and I are very happy

It's worth the wait and I don't think you'll be disappointed either!

Installed it last night. Package was here but the wife hid it from me until the evening. What gives.

Drove it in the morning.

Think it's bad a$$.

I'll try it out on the highway tomorrow.

I pretty much followed the instructions on the website. Took some pictures but the website really shows you how to.

Need a new boot. Or a shop to make me one.

If you are a little creative you can modify the old shifter boot and save.
