Default Brake Pad Replacement

Hello,
My breaks are squeaking so I think I need to replace the pads. I was looking to order these Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads:
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...8Z650&i1_Qty=1

They are $182 for front and back.

But I see there are some really negative reviews so I'm hesitant to order them. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good ones for my 2000 FRC. I don't need track pads, just really good street performance ones, and I like the ceramic that they make less dust. I have cryo/dimple/slotted rotors. Thanks very much for any recommendations.

edit:
I'm also looking for a jack and stands and to gather all the tools and cleaners I need to do the job, i'm going to try to do it myself so I don't get ripped off. I watched a few videos and it looks pretty easy, but hopefully the bolts on the calipers won't be such a pain to get off.

As far as brake pads go, I ran a set of Hawk HPS street pads on the '00 I had and was very pleased with their performance. I did not notice any excessive brake dust at all.

If you want low dust then go ceramic. They will stop the car just fine. You need higher performance pads if you plan on doing a lot of hard braking back to back....think twisty back roads, autocross, road course (even high perf streep pads may not survive long on a track depending on the track, how fast you are, etc.).

If you are OK with some dust then I'd consider Hawk high performance street 5.0 (these are the HPS replacements), or Stoptech street performance pads. I just put on some Stoptechs, coming from stock Z06 pads. Limited experience so far, but I feel like the Stoptechs dust less, but maybe lack a little in initial bite vs stock z06. Once they are warmed up they stop very well though. So far happy with them as a high perf street pad w/ some track use.

For a quality low dust performance street pad take a look at the Carbotech 1521 pad. 100% non corrosive will not harm your wheels or paint. This pad performs like OEM if no better in emergency situations. A description and price is below. If interested let me know and we can get you set up.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness.
