Does anybody put turbos on a vette, over some of the other mods. PROS VS. CONS?i don't think I've ever seen or heard anyone talk about this..
The link posted to the Forced Induction section of this forum will give you a very significant amount of information regarding turbos on C5's and LS engines in general. There are a lot out there and have been for a long time. Remember the forum has more than just this General section to get information from.
Pros... lots of horse power for the dollars you spend.
Cons... Horse power to a performance vette guy, is like crack to a drug addict...it is NEVER enough.
you'll probably swap some performance for engine longevity...
you are probably going to start tearing up other parts if you don't upgrade them as well... clutch, rear end, torque tube couplings.. etc.
but, that may depend on how you drive it... but, what's the point of turbos or superchargers if you aren't going to USE it every now and then?
i don't think I've ever seen or heard anyone talk about this..
Use the google search function and you can find LOTS of info on turbo and supercharged C5 corvettes
