I'm always enjoying driving my Z but today was especially awesome. This thought pops in my head..."I'm having the time of my life". Man it just doesn't get better. Glad I bought this vette. It's been a blast to drive out on curvy country roads.
Sometimes when I'm driving on the freeway and zoning out its like I forget what car I'm in....then I look down and see the z06 badge on the tach and it puts a huge smile on my face

Yes, first time I have had to drive her in about two weeks. Got to take her out when the traffic was not bumper to bumper and enjoy her a bit. Was super fun and I thought to myself, "Man, what a fantastic car!"

This car still brings a smile to my lips ever since I brought it home from the showroom floor. Normally after a few years I'm ready to move on to something newer or faster, but after 11 years the Z06 never fails to bring a smile to my lips. It's a fun car to drive and my Z06 has been very reliable mechanically.
I just returned home yesterday after attending the "Corvette Funfest" in Effinham, IL" ... And while driving up and back it was so cool to be driving along in such a fun car. Even though I've never be in Heaven, this must be kind of like what it will be.
On the way out to my favorite roads yesterday a Lambo went screaming past me on the interstate doing at least a buck. Then another exotic car came right after him (no idea what it was). They both got off at the next exit. I thought that was pretty cool. People out having way too much fun in their cars.
I bought my first Corvette in 1966 and have always traded up as the new ones came out. I'm on Corvette #12 now. I've never owned an automatic Corvette, only manuals. I've enjoyed every one of them! The new one is great and I like the looks and the handling, but the 2004 Z06 won my heart more than any other I've ever owned, so I kept it when I bought my 2006 and the 2004 Z06 is one of the most fun to drive of all the Corvettes. I still drive it now and then and smile ear to ear.

Yep! Every day for 40 years.......................
DITTO to all above--love the sound of the exhaust about 1/2 throttle thru the gears--also when some POS pulls up next to me--bury his A$$ to 50 mph--what fun!!

Though the shift from 1st to 2nd is what really brings the pain! These cars are an absolute blast to own and drive.
I have had my '02 C5Z for about 7 months now and still when I look out in my parking spot and still think...man, I have the keys to that. Then there's being out on the road and some clown comes along that either thinks he has more than he does or does not realize what I have!!! See ya!!! Great feeling!!!

Most people think you are driving a base coupe when they pull up next to you.
I had this 03 Cobra pull up next to me a couple of months back, acting all bad, revving her up as he approach me at the stop light. When he arrived at the stop light (I was already stopped), he looked over, saw the Z06 emblem, heard the Corsa exhaust burbling, and thought better of it. He looked over, gave me a wave and backed off.
Nice Mustang Cobra he was driving.
