Default First Year...

FINALLY, for the FIRST time.... it's headed for October and I don't have to start thinking about winterizing the Vette and putting it to sleep for the winter!

This years winterization routine MAY be deciding whether or not to put the top on before leaving the garage.

Florida really does suck.

Hahahahahah.....don't you know it!

Love Texas and year round driving the Vette! I couldn't even think about the MISERY of only having a part-time driving season.

Dude.....I'm in the middle of the snow belt, and I live about a mile and a half from the shoreline of Lake Ontario (lake effect snow machine). I've been storing my "good car" for the winter, since the mid-70s, and I've NEVER had to park it before the middle of November.

DUDE: Having lived in NW PA in the major snowbelt and upstate NY for all my life until this year, I'm well versed on the climate of the area. The key
words were "start thinking about".

Like Rick, I'm fortunate that I don't have to winterize my Vette. I drive it year round. We get some snow every year but its short lived and goes away pretty quickly. A few other benefits of my state is no front license plate, no vehicle inspections, cheap gas, and not a single county voted for the current bozo in office.

Pretty much the same here, but no snow. (SW Florida) No front plates or inspections here either. Put 87 in the Escape the other day for 1.99/gal. Don't know about the voting record here by county though.

Rub it in, Steve. Unlike you, I have to start thinking about how many more days until mine goes into hibernation for the winter.

Sorry Jack - I just had to do it after enduring the northern winters for 61 years.

Plenty of room down here but it's being grabbed up at record pace. But I warn you it's hot.... (90's with nice breeze though) makes it really tough sitting in the Gulf with a beer or three.

Congratulations on no winter hibernation.

I hate winters in the midwest. (In IL now, previously WI, MN, IA) I don't mind the cold, it is just the salt on the roads. Here they even salt the bridges when there is no snow expected, they just do it every day it gets below freezing. I have a winter beater (Buick) that gets a lot of use.

I moved here form AZ (Mesa) where we lived for about 15 years and got used to no winters. I expect that we will move again to mild winters in another year or two. Can't wait!

I run mine all winter but store it in Florida during summer when I go to my lake front summer home in New England. The last mile to my home it a dirt road, no place for my vert. Just came out of storage a week ago!

Living in a milder climate definitely has it's advantage!

Very fortunate here in central NC, our winter is only about 1 or 2 months. Snow might come down in January or February, rarely lasts more than a day or two. Its not worth it to store the Vette, I just choose when I'm going to take it out.
If we go about 2 or 3 hours west we have ski resorts. Pretty nice.

I know how you feel Calvins. I'm going into my 3rd winter here in SW Florida. My '99 is now my DD.

Well howdy "almost neighbor". We haven't gotten down that way... YET. Just got here 7/22 and the freekin' honey do list just keeps on a growin'. One of these days though..... We'll probably check out a lot more chit after SWMBO retires; probably next year sometime.

YOU SUCK, lol.
I would love to have no winter storage, no front plate law, and that bozo out of office Iowa has the others

Last time we had ice on the road I used that to refresh the fluid in the ABS pump.
