Im about to pull the trigger on 1-7/8 ARH, i never did any modifications to my car so im not entirely sure what i will need to get with the headers, for example i hear you need to put socks on your spark plug wires, some people even put tunnel heater like below
We don't have a Z06 (2004 coupe) but did the same headers. I bought nice header studs from ARP to go into the heads. IIRC there weren't any included but you could reuse your OEM manifold bolts. I think the O2 extensions were also included. We needed nothing else and have had them on the car for about a year or so with no issues. BTW, IMHO these are the best headers on the market for a C5 and you'll love how easily they go in.

A tunnel plate would be a great addition. I upgraded my spark plug wires to a set 8.5mm high performance wires, (Greater resistance to heat.) and had my exhaust ceramic coated from front to back. Would definitely recommend the coating. My car runs cooler now than it did with the factory manifolds. Good luck with your decision. I went with LG Super Pros because I wanted to squeeze every last bit of horsepower I could out of the engine, but the AR headers were my #2.

Thanks, i would love LG's but now i hear they are made in china and the welding quality dropped. I know LG owner said that alot of things are made in china, For example we all know apple makes their products in china but they do it under apples watch. its one thing to outsource labor but also another to outsource it and do quality control so make sure it meets american standards.

As I understand it, some components of the "Street" series headers are made outside of the US. I recall reading a thread though, where Lou G. himself insisted that that Super Pros were made entirely in the USA. I could be mistaken though. This goes back about 8 months. In any case. The fit and finish of my headers was/is top notch, with the exception of the clamps provided in the package.
Supposedly kooks has the best fitment - but ARH, Stainlessworks, LG, all good reputable brands.
Ceramic coating is definitely recommended, try to order from a place that will do it for you ahead of time, or try and locate a place that does it nearby locally (I am in MA and have a place near me I used for headers and bike parts in the past)
Get new GM metal header gaskets - they're very good quality. Also recommend getting new bolts, spark plugs (NGK iridium), and wire (MSD's are good brand name). They should come w/ O2 extenders but if not you'll need those too.

You would be correct. The LG Pros are still made in the US. I believe they are still made by borla.

I've heard too many horror stories about the fitment of Kooks headers in the past. Some say that their new line fits great though. So who knows? Ha.

i will be doing my ceramic coating by swain tech coating in NY.
also gonna look into the NGK's and MSD's thanks!
I have ran the LG Street Series as well as the Super Pros'... Both 1 3/4.... Stepped up to the AR 1 7/8's and am glad I did... Fit and finish is second to none and best of all are made right here in the US! Gained noticeable HP/TQ from them over the LG's... However, it should be noted that mine is stroked and bottle fed...
