I have a 1999 frc I recently purchased it came with no remotes....of course. Anyhow picked up a new oem remote programed it and it works well kinda. I can lock the car then unlock it but then nothing no panic trunk lock or unlock. But if i get in the car and turn the ignition on and off i can do it all over.
That sounds a bit unusual. Try holding both the Lock and Unlock buttons down at the same time for up to 30 seconds. Try to be near the rear wheel on the driver's side when doing this. The receiver is by the rear wheel. If successful, you'll hear the horn beep. This is how you pair the FOB to your car. I have to do this after the battery has been disconnected. Let me know how it goes.
I knew you bought a new FOB but was it 15 years old.
Explain what "But if I get in the car and turn the ignition on and off I can do it all over."
If you ordered a new RFA to install you are wasting your money.
Its a new fob but for saftey sake i bought a new battery last night and still the same issue. I am replacing the RKE sensor because the TPMS is not working correctly either.
OK, but I would have pulled the codes to see if anything was related to the RFA. If you can lock and unlock the car with the FOB it tells me the RFA is working.
