I'm not experiencing any issues, but just wondering if my coupe has the most current software version installed to date. Were there any GM software updates after the 2004 model year release? Is there a way to find out what's installed without having to take it to dealership?
You re not going to experience an EBCM (Im assuming thats what you meant) problem that is based on software in a 2004 (or any one them really), its always been component failure that causes the TCS Issues.
Drive it......it'll be fine
(and BTW, after 2001 you can have it serviced if the problem comes up....lots of posts....so you have a best case scenario)
i would avoid the dealership at all costs..most don't get many older c5's in, and not many guys are trained to work on them...as far as update's they are none that are worth while to really have on our cars unless its a tune to get it run better with mods
