Ok,this may be slightly OT here but I have a PDF file that I need to fill out for a C5 get-together and I'd like it to look good. I've tried to find a downloadable or online PDF editor to use to fill it out without water marks etc. Comin' up empty - I don't work with PDF's a lot so buying one just is dumb for me.
This one is "free" but it puts a water mark on the lower righthand side of the pages if you don't pay 'em for it. The water mark is one of the least intrusive ones I've seen. I don't think there is such a thing as a free PDF editor, which in todays opensource world kind of surprises me but ....
Well Jack, with the number of views and zero replies - I'd say we're pretty much toast. The one I posted is probably the best one I found and when I printed out the completed form, the watermark didn't even show up... (but shhhhhh don't tell anyone
Thanks for the pointer. Problem is, most all of 'em have 30 days free and then they want to invade your wallet. I'm from the Linux world, and would go back to it in a heartbeat but I have to support my wifes systems and a few other peoples and they all run winBLOWS. So I kind of have to stay relatively current on that op sys or I'd be gone in a heartbeat. Teaching these folks unix/linux just ain't gonna happen.

Anyone know of one?
I have the complete version of Adobe Pro. PM the file and pertinent information you wanted entered. We will see what we can do.
Can I fill out and save forms with Acrobat Reader DC?
Yes. The new, built-in Fill & Sign tool automatically recognizes whether your PDF has fillable form fields or not and takes you to an intuitive filling experience to get the job done quickly and easily. With a fillable form, it’s easy to type your answers or select from drop-down lists, then save your completed form. When working with simple PDFs that haven’t been optimized with form fields, you can click anywhere and type answers right onto the form – or you can accept suggestions from your personal autofill collection. When you’re done, you can save your changes and send the completed form to others.
Using the companion Adobe Fill & Sign mobile app, you can do the same tasks on an iPad or Android tablet device too. To download the Fill & Sign app, visit Google Play or the iTunes App Store.
Sounds good until you go to use it, then they want fifteen bucks a month.

Thanks all but for my purposes I can live with InFix from iceni. It has a watermark but is negligible on my system when printed. I think that's about the only truly no cost one around.

Are you sure? I know Acrobat Pro DC is a paid subscription (since I have to lease ALL the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps by the month until "death do us part" since that is what I use to make a living), but the latest "Reader" should be "free" to everyone and it should have the "new" recently added capability of filling out PDF forms?

I'd have to re-install to verify but I installed it and could certain read pdfs - no problem but when I tried to edit it - no go without paying.
