Compartment under a/c controls
I am a new-be and would like to ask a question.
Under the a/c & heat controls there is a rectangular
compartment. The door seems broken and will not
close properly. What do I need to do to fix it?

If the spring came off, you might be able to find a replacement at a hardware store or try calling Marc at Vettenuts and see if he has one laying around.

Need clarification. Are you referring to the large door under the AC control that covers the lighter and ash tray or the smaller door under the larger door which is the ash tray? If it is the latter, the ash tray door automatically springs open when you open the larger door.
