So today I had planned to install my new TSW Interlagos wheels and tires. Had my jacking puck, lug nut socket, and floor jack all ready to go. Loosened the lugs on the wheels on the one side of the car and went to jack the car up. Jack no fit under car, WTF!!!!
Of all the stupid idiotic things I forgot to check to see if the jack would work!!! My car is lowered all the way on the stock bolts and has low profile tires, has about 3.5 inches clearance to fit a jack under the car. Lowest jacking height for my Sears Craftsman jack is 5 inches, 4.5 if you remove the cup. Not gonna work.
Bought a new jack today with 3.5 lowest jacking height. Lowest profile jack I could find locally on short notice. Gonna be close but I think it will work. Tomorrow we try again.

Your luck is like mine - if something can go wrong, it will. Using a piece of wood to roll the tire up onto will give you enough clearance to get the jack under the side of the car. Good luck and post up pics of your ride when you get the new wheels on it.
I keep RV levelers in my car in case I need to pull a wheel while away from home.
There are perfect to drive up on to get the car high enough to get a jack under the car.

I made ramps from 2 x 12's that stair-step to 4" for both front & rear wheels. Only way I can get my low-profile jack under the car. I'm hoping it goes better for you today .... I've been anxious to see pictures of your new wheels mounted too!
That's where a second floor jack is always handy. I just get under the rear crossmember, which is higher, and just lift the rear a couple inches. Then, I can get the second jack, with puck under the rocker. With 2 jacks it is easy to lift either side, or either end.

Why not simply jack the car at the crossmember, and you can get either the entire front, or entire rear, off the ground? I roll the car up on either the universal ramps I have, or the short pieces of 2x6, put a piece of wood on the jack's pad, so I don't damage the cradle, and lift away....

Yes, that works too, but with 2 jacks, it's faster, and no ramps needed, especially for just pulling wheels off, and on.
