Took my Z to the strip Saturday for the first and and got best of 12.2. Have headers/exhaust/CAI. Thinking I could get it down to 12.1 with better launch. Has now just fed the need the need for more goodies.

1.7528 60'
Running just what I had on there, continental extreme contacts on the rear. I have only had the car since July and that was what was on it so haven't had the need to get new tires yet. Nitto nt555 in front
Good 60' especially for street tires. What was the mph?
If you check out the Z06 fast list, there are guys decently into the 11's with your mods. Stock tune? Might just need more seat time to get there, but you are on the right track for sure.
I think a tune would help out a good bit with your mods. I haven't dragged my Z but like the other guy said there are guys in the 11's with those mods. However, most of those guys have hundreds of passes versus your first.
Amazing these cars ran the times they do for how old they are now. Still competitive with newer stuff today.
I was impressed and happy with the results. Another buddy had his c6 z there and best he could run wa s12.34. I know it can better that and from I was told they are not great with stock tune for the strip but none the less was nice to beat him
Did a quick spin of the tires just to clean them off and was running about 28psi.
Probably need to play with the air pressure next time. Drop it to about 20psi and see how it runs. I would drop my drag radials in my former Cobra to 14psi when at the track and got my 60' down to a 1.7.

The Continentals would not be stable if aired down to 20 psi and contact patch would be sacrificed. These are 340 tire wear rating street tires getting a 1.7x at 26+psi which is pretty amazing in my book.

Need a tune to go with those mods. Bet you are running lean, but on those tires, that time is not bad at all!
