Default NEVER say "Never" !!!

Years ago, I promised myself that I would NEVER buy an American car, Been a Mercedes fan since I was 15 and got one at age 15 so it always been a Benz. I love German cars. Wife drives Japanese.

Today, for the first time, I do not have a late model Benz, just the old one that I restored (which comes out on weekends).

Today I have a

SUBURBAN
GMC ACADIA
CORVETTE Z-06 (my daily driver)

Suburban is been absolutely been the most reliable car we've ever had.

Corvette, I've only had it a month so I dont know what to expect

I think you will be pleasantly surprised!! Along with excellent reliability you should get excellent fuel economy...unlike your Benz! (you can run any grade fuel)

Suburban will last forever, used to have a Tahoe, finally replaced the factory spark plugs and wires at 215,000 miles! Just sold my Silverado truck a couple of months ago with 254,000 miles, it looked and ran like new, my 02 Z06 vette now has 153,000 miles, looks and runs amazing

Congrats on the Z06. Hopefully you'll find the car to be very reliable and a blast to drive.

Oh, I make excuses to drive it and making a lot of minitrips just for the hell of it. The Z06 is really a blast to drive..!

Welcome! I was just like you (except with old BMW's) I've had about 7 old BMW's, mostly e30's, and still one as my garage queen. My Z is also my daily. As much as I love German cars too, you gotta love that easy maint. and low cost of parts on these Vette's.

And yes, I also had to get used to driving past 3000 rpm. My e30 is procharged and I flog it thru all gears straight to redline, yet my C5 has to be respected past 3000 especially after swapping the cam.

Might not be a big deal to most, but lets see some pics of the Benz.

I sometimes don't believe that I actually own a chevy. Honestly the key is the only thing that reminds me its a chevy.

Wow, you ARE just like me..! I've only driven German cars. Here are the pics of the Benz you requested. It is a Euro model coupe 4 speed manual. I restored it myself and I had never done anything like this before. From one German car enthusiast to another. Enjoy the pics.

The C5 actually has a ton of German parts in it like the transmission and differential. Anyone care to list some of the other German parts?
