I'm looking to upgrade my 03 z06 brakes after real fast sharp corner hi speed back Rd race my brakes are all done. It didn't take long before I got brake fade with almost no brakes. I'm willing to spend the money on brembo. $3500 is a big amount for just the front.I'm pushing close to 700hp but only hot rod the streets. Are there any opinions on how the big doller brakes do on the street or am I wasting my money? I like to add the best I can but don't want to add uselessly. Also for hi pro street are there any worth the money suspension kits that will improve hi speed street.I'm willing to save and spend if it's worth it
THe OEM C5 brakes are very good for street driving. the first thing you should do is to replace the brake fluid with a DOT4 type, which has a higher boiling point. Adding stainless steel brake line hoses will also help a small amount. The advantage of the big brake kits is that they fade less while road racing. They don't provide much advantage for street driving. Most people add them to improve the look of the car.
Here's a thread with some brake options: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...akes-or-v.html

Skip the BBK, DOT 4 Fluid and racing pads will be more than enough for the street.
You don't need Brembos on the street, but getting 19/20's, there was a lot of empty space around the stock brakes. So I got mine to 'fill the void'.
What size wheels are you running?

Change your fluid to a DOT4 and get a pad that can handle the heat that 700 HP produces. I suggest going with the Carbotech XP8 pads and the Motul RBF 600 fluid. If interested I will be happy to help you.
A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200°F-1250°F+ (93°C to 676°C+). Carbotech™ XP8™ is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotech™ does NOT recommended XP8™ as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech™ XP8™ is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers.
MOTUL RBF600 The world's best selling brake fluid. Developed for all forms and levels of racing, the RBF600 is one of the most popular fluid's on the market today. Dry: 312°C (594°F)
Wet: 216°C (421°F) 16.9oz/ .53 quarts
.50 Liter/ 500ml $22.50
